21st Century learning and Web 2.0
Twenty-first century learning allows students to learn independently and prepares them to move on in life. They are not just sitting in one classroom and use their online resources as well as their physical resources.
Over the years, websites have evolved from Web 1.0 to Web 3.0 and has greatly improved. In Web 1.0, it is read only and there is no interactivity in the website. The website below is 1.0 and you can only read order items and nothing else.

The next type of web is Web 2.0. This one allows people to upload their own content in sites like blogs and wikis. A wiki is an informational website managed by a community and people can comment sometimes too. A blog is written by one person for people to read and sometimes people are allowed to comment. The picture below is an example of a blog.

Blogs and wikis, when combined with other research, are a great learning tool for students who are using 21st century learning skills.
Web 3.0
Web 3.0 is interactive and connects with users. Websites like youtube are coming towards Web 3.0. A characteristic of the of the websites is that they use the computer to choose what the users see based on what they have seen and liked before.
Podcasts
Another way that students can learn are with podcasts and vodcasts. Podcasts are audio files of people talking about a topic, which could be anything, that other people could listen to and learn from. Podcasts have helped students have a source other than the teachers words to learn from, with the new information they will have more to learn. A food podcasts that I listen to is HowStuffWorks.
Vodcasts
Vodcasts are similar to podcasts but they add in a video. There are times where a podcast would be better for the students and vice versa. People who make Vodcasts can use props to help students better understand what they are listening to. Twitch has some good vodcasts to listen to.
Conclusion
Technology has helped education evolve in many different ways. Whether through blogs, wikis, vodcasts, or podcasts, technology will increase students range of information and will help their knowledge grow. As technology evolves, education would improve as long as schools wanted to upgrade with it.
